Registration Auditors Are Running at Capacity
With the July 1 mandatory registration deadline 10 weeks away, NDIS-approved auditors report fully booked schedules through late June. Providers attempting to secure audits now face 12-16 week lead times—past the deadline.
The Supply Crunch
Approved auditors: Limited number nationwide, all experiencing surge demand.
Current wait times: Certification audits (for higher-risk services like SIL) are 12-16 weeks out. Verification audits, 6-10 weeks.
Flash realisation: Providers who waited until April to begin the registration process have likely missed the deadline.
Market Reality
Auditors are working overtime. Some are asking for expedited fees—extra cost for fast-track. Others are turning away new clients entirely.
This is creating a two-tier outcome: well-prepared providers who booked audits early are on track. Late movers are out of luck.
Unregistered After July 1?
On July 1, any provider without registration will be locked out of NDIA-managed participants. Plan-managed and self-managed participants will also require registered providers. The transition will be abrupt.
